We are James and Casey the team behind Hunny Co., your custom home furnishing designs who are excited to share our passion and creativity with you. Established in 2020, our dynamic duo began designing and building small custom pieces out of our garage, where the majority of our ideas still evolve today. JAMES DAVID BADGER | HEAD BUILDER/OWNER
James Badger is the co-owner, co-founder and lead builder of Hunny Co. and is no stranger to building and design. James has been a part of the construction industry for two decades, with experience from excavation and inspection to home building and custom design. He holds a deep appreciation and humility for all things built by hand and pours hard work and love into every piece he designs. He began his career framing houses and doing finish carpentry before starting his own business in 2004. Ready for this new endeavor, James is excited to create timeless, custom pieces that will forever bring warmth to the homes where they reside.

No project is too big or too small and he is open to incorporating various materials from wood to metal to glass, you name it. Through his work, James hopes to bring to life the ideas of his customers while leaving a distinct signature on each piece.Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, James moved to Southern California with his two kids in early 2018. In addition to building, he enjoys snowboarding, dirt biking, hunting for sea glass on the beach and spending time with his dynamic, blended family. With the best of both worlds between the mountains and the sea, James has no shortage of inspiration for the beautiful, yet functional pieces he creates.
CASEY MOLDA | DESIGN/SALES/OWNER
Casey Molda is both the co-owner and co-founder of Hunny Co., focused on assisting James with the design elements and bringing the finished pieces to market. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Casey graduated from Winona State University with a pre-law and history degree.
With a Type-A personality by nature, Casey has worked in several different industries, leaving a rainbow of a resume in her path. From analyzing biotech and pharmaceutical stocks to selling cars for Tesla, she has found her comfort zone in sales, building and maintaining relationships with all different types of people.
Casey has two daughters and loves her Brady bunch family with James and their four kids. Needless to say, life is extremely busy and she feels lucky to be able to work side by side with James, doing what they love to do.
Her business mentality with James is “you build it, I’ll sell it,” which works well for their partnership and allows for a steady flow of inventory.
Having grown up in Chicago, the appeal of the “big city” will always be part of Casey’s heart. However, she enjoys the beauty of the California coast, the beaches, and the close proximity to the mountains.
